With the sun out and the insects out, a client from Naples wanted to screen in their under truss lanai so that they can enjoy their outdoor area, so Ms. Allgor called us after seeing our under truss lanai projects on Facebook.

To prevent bugs from entering their under truss lanai, we installed a screen enclosure. For the screen, we used superscreen, which is a mesh that can be installed on large openings while withstanding strong wind pressure without tearing. This screen is three times stronger than the standard screen so our client won’t have to worry about bugs finding their way inside the under truss lanai.

Besides using a durable screen, they won’t need a re-screen for a long time because under truss screen applications tend to last longer. Under truss lanais experience less wind and are less exposed to direct sunlight than pool cages. Pool enclosures are exposed to the sun the whole day and experience wind from all directions.

Check out what the other side looks like. It took us a day to complete this project. We also installed a door so they can easily move in and out from the outside. Now our client can enjoy the nice breeze without worrying about pesky bugs.
