This week, we transformed the patio of a client in Estero. When Mr. Papalas noticed that his pool cage looked like an eyesore, he called us to restore it as well as replace the pool deck. Here is what his old enclosure looked like before:

It had rusty fasteners, faded paint, and frames obstructing the view. To maximize the view and make it look brand new again, he availed our Silver Clearview Conversion along with the Lifetime Restoration Package. So we re-engineered the entire front wall into a picture window and re-screened, repainted with High solids Polyurethane 2 part epoxy far better than any factory, and replaced the fasteners of the entire enclosure using lifetime warranty stails steel tapcons with finish.

But before we started working on-site, we first prepared the permits and worked on the engineering and site plans. After doing more than a hundred pool enclosure projects, we can efficiently get this process done and get permits faster than anyone else.

After settling the requirements, we head on his home and covered the pool and deck with plastic to prevent getting debris or paint on them. Next, we get started with the picture window conversion. We mostly prefabricate the frames in our shop, so we were able to easily convert the existing front wall of the screen enclosure into a clear view with new solid vertical posts, dramatically increasing the structural integrity. This picture window has a span size of 46′ and we used #16 size fasteners for optimal strength and connection efficiency.

Next, we continued with the restoration process. For the fasteners, we replaced all the old and rusty fasteners with Blue-tap Nylotech and Stainless Pro-Tect Tapcons. This is a durable model that comes with a 10-year warranty. For the paint, we used bronze Sherwin Williams Hi-Solids Polyurethane, which was sprayed on electrostatically. We then installed Superscreen throughout the entire cage. This mesh is three times stronger than the standard screen and can withstand strong wind pressure for years. We also replaced the deck to give the patio a new look.

Doesn’t it look better with the newly restored and re-engineered pool enclosure and new deck? Our efficient crew completed this project in two weeks. Mr. Papalas is happy that his pool cage doesn’t look like an eyesore anymore and that his entire patio now looks great!
