This week, we replaced the old enclosure of a client in Naples with a brand new screen room that has a Clearview configuration. Ms. Young also wanted an open concrete area beside the new enclosure.

Before we got started, we needed to get permits, work on the engineering, and conduct a spot survey. We have a dedicated project manager to handle these matters, so our client didn’t have to worry about the details. We can also efficiently get this process done since we’ve done more than a hundred of enclosure projects, and get permits faster than anyone else.

After obtaining the permits, we got started working on-site. First, we had to remove the old enclosure and pour new concrete. We used a 30 x 12 concrete slab and added a 10 x 12 open concrete area on the left return wall. Next, we worked on the structure. We installed a 20 x 12 screen room, with most of the structure prefabricated in our facility. The rest of the parts were done with site-specific laser cut and leveling. These frames have a white 2604 Powder Coat Finish, which was meticulously applied to withstand the harsh Florida sun and outdoor elements.

For the fasteners, we used Blue-Tap Fasteners, which is a durable model that comes with a 10-year warranty. We then screened it in with Super Screen 14/17. This mesh is three times stronger than the standard screen and also comes with a 10-year warranty. It is suitable for large openings, which is perfect for this new screen room since we used a Clearview configuration of members.

We installed a composite roof, which lasts longer than a pan roof. This is also made out of metal but has a foam core, allowing it to withstand a strong impact and provide more insulation underneath. It is also quieter when it’s raining, more convenient for repairs and maintenance, and cool even during hot sunny days. We also installed a clear view door and a fan beam.

Our efficiency crew completed this project in less than a week. Ms. Young can now enjoy her brand new insect-free screen room without frames obstructing the view.
