This week, we screened-in the under truss lanai of a client in Punta Gorda. Mr. Deines wanted to enjoy his outdoor area but bugs kept bothering him. To keep them out, he called us to screen it in.

First, we installed the frame to the under truss lanai. We used a clear view configuration so our client can enjoy the view with fewer frames blocking it. Next, we screened-it in with Superscreen 14/16. This mesh is three times stronger than the standard screen and is great for large openings. It looks dark because it is thicker and tighter than the standard screen, but when you look from the inside (as seen in the photo below), it doesn’t affect outward visibility.

We also installed a Clearview 16″ kickplate door and a 16″ kickplate. This helps keep the dirt out and protects the enclosure from pets and lawn equipment. We completed this project in a day. Our client can now relax in his bug-free outdoor area and not worry about getting an upgrade for a long time.
