Last week, we completed an enclosure restoration and picture window conversion project for a client in Cape Coral. After Mr. Macieko saw pictures of our newly restored and re-engineered enclosures online, he also wanted to make his pool cage look brand new again and maximize its view.

Here is what his old pool enclosure looked like. It had moldy frames, discolored paint, and frames obstructing the view. He availed our Lifetime Restoration Package which includes rescreening, repainting with High solids Polyurethane 2 part epoxy that is far better than any factory, and replacing the fasteners with lifetime warranty stails steel tapcons with finish. These are better materials that come with a longer warranty so that our client can enjoy his pool cage for a long time. He also upgraded the package with a Bronze Clearview Conversion which includes re-engineering a part of the front wall into a picture window.

Before we started working on-site, we first prepared the necessary permits, engineering, and site plans. After doing more than a hundred of these enclosure projects, we can efficiently get this process done and our client didn’t have to wait as long since we can get permits faster than anyone else.

Once we have the permits we needed, we head on to the site. The first thing we did was cover the entire pool and deck area with plastic to avoid getting any debris or paint drops on it. Next, we got started with the picture window conversion. We were able to quickly re-engineer the front wall because we mostly prefabricate the frames in our shop. To ensure that the pool cage is sturdy with fewer frames and convert it into a clear view, we utilized existing vertical posts, which dramatically increases the structural integrity.

After the picture window conversion, we continued with the restoration process. We replaced all the fasteners with Blue-tap Nylotech and Stainless Pro-Tect Tapcons, which comes with a 10-year warranty. Next, we repainted the entire structure with white Sherwin Williams Hi-Solids Polyurethane that was sprayed on electrostatically. Lastly, we installed Superscreen 14/16, a durable mesh that is three times stronger than the standard screen.

It took our efficient crew less than two weeks to get this job done. This pool cage now looks brand new again and has no more frames obstructing the view.
