Under-truss screen enclosures or lanai provide for an excellent transition area for keeping the bugs and pests from the outside to enter the home. It’s also a good idea to have one installed if you have pets, as it keeps pets from escaping. Moreover, it’s an awesome way to extend your home to your outdoors.

This family from Naples agrees on the perks of having a lanai installed in their home. So for this project, we removed the existing fall protection and replaced it with bronze picket fall protection. We also removed and replaced the old frame under-truss with new ones. Then we installed the screens. For extra protection, we used Super Screens. Lastly, we added one door for the lanai.

Look at the photo above to see how this project turned out. The picket protection’s all new and is definitely safer. The screen mesh installed is better for preventing even smaller types of bugs and insects from entering the home. Overall, the project turned out to be a great success.
