Another enclosure restoration and picture window conversion project we completed this week was for a client in Cape Coral. After seeing our projects online, Mr. and Ms. Mohr called us to make their enclosure look brand new again and maximize its view. This is what their old enclosure looked like:

They availed of our Lifetime Restoration Package, which includes re-screening, replacing the fasteners with lifetime warranty stainless steel tapcons with finish, and repainting using High solids Polyurethane 2 part epoxy far better than any factory. For the picture window, they asked for the Bronze Clearview Conversion, where we re-engineered a part of the front wall.

We first had to prepare the permits, engineering, and site plans before we started working on-site. We can efficiently get this process done and get permits faster than anyone else, so our client didn’t have to worry about the details.

After obtaining the permits, we started with the picture window conversion. This picture window has a span size of 30′ and we were able to convert it into a clear view by utilizing the existing vertical posts, dramatically increasing the structural integrity. We used concrete fasteners, which come with a lifetime warranty and re-screened with a durable mesh that comes with a 10-year manufacturer warranty.

We then continued with the restoration process. After removing and disposing of the rest of the old mesh, we upgraded the fasteners to Blue-tap Nylotech and Stainless Pro-Tect Tapcons. For the paint, we used Sherwin Williams Hi-Solids Polyurethane, which was sprayed on electrostatically to withstand the harsh Florida sun and other outdoor elements. Lastly, we installed Superscreen, a mesh that is three times stronger than the standard screen and can withstand strong wind pressure even when installed in large openings.

Our efficient crew completed this project in less than two weeks. Now, our client can enjoy the view without frames blocking the view in their brand new-looking enclosure.
