Another enclosure that we restored and re-engineered is for a client in Fort Myers. Mr. Mitchell wanted to make his pool cage look brand new again and convert it into a picture window, so he called us to get the job done. Here is what his old pool cage looked like:

For his project, he availed the Silver Clearview Conversion, which includes re-engineering the entire front wall into a picture window. He added our Lifetime Restoration Package, which includes re-screening, repainting, and replacing the fasteners with better materials that come with a longer warranty, specifically lifetime warranty stails steel tapcons with finish for the fasteners and High solids Polyurethane 2 part epoxy for the paint, which is far better than any factory.

But first, we had to prepare the permits and work on the engineering and site plans. After doing more than a hundred pool enclosure projects, we can efficiently get this process done and get permits faster than anyone else.

After obtaining the necessary permits, we get started with the work on-site. We first covered the entire pool and deck area with plastic to prevent getting paint or debris on it. This picture window has a span size of 46′ and we were able to convert it into a clear view using new vertical posts that are solid and not stitched, dramatically increasing the structural integrity. We had to remove and replace custom pieces to re-engineer the front wall. For optimal strength and connection efficiency, we used #16 size fasteners. We also upgraded the right return wall with a new 1×2.

Next, we continued with the restoration process. We replaced all fasteners with Blue-tap Nylotech and Stainless Pro-Tect Tapcons. This fastener is durable and comes with a 10-year warranty. Next, we made the enclosure look brand new again by applying Sherwin Williams Hi-Solids Polyurethane, which was sprayed on electrostatically. Lastly, we installed Superscreen, a durable mesh that is three times stronger than a standard screen. It is great for large openings and can withstand strong wind pressure without tearing.

Our efficient crew completed this project in two weeks. Mr. Mitchell is glad that there are no more frames obstructing the view and that his pool cage looks brand new again.
